Morrow Batteries, along with our peers in the battery industry, are pioneering the roll-out of digital product passports. These will feature data on the battery’s state of health , carbon emissions and the extent to which social and environmental due diligence has been performed. The mechanism is intended to offer consumers and companies easily accessible information and enable comparisons between different batteries.
Morrow is preparing for battery passport implementation by extending and streamlining data collection from our suppliers. Contracts have been modified so that our suppliers are legally required to supply us with the relevant data. We are also preparing to digitally generate and collect information in our own operations that can feed into a battery passport mechanism.
