(Morrow Batteries)
At Morrow, we constantly push the boundaries of what's possible in battery technology development.
We believe having the right competence and building capability is crucial to success in this fast-evolving industry.
We are committed to delivering cost-effective and sustainable batteries that meet the demands of our customers.
Our team is now pursuing some of the most promising battery technologies and will produce prismatic battery cells optimised for our identified target markets within segments such as energy storage, commercial mobility and industrial & off-road.
In the initial years of production, we will manufacture the current industry-leading battery technology Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP).
In tandem, we are working to commercialise a new generation of battery technologies on the high-voltage material LNMO (Lithium Nickel Manganese Oxide).
Our next generation LNMOx technology is a sustainable solution that uses cheap manganese as a scaffold to optimise the lithium and nickel.
Through this innovative advancement we can deliver batteries that are both environmentally friendly and economically competitive.
LNMOx can supercharge heavy, commercial mobility (trains and ferries) and the long-life Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) markets. These batteries are designed to meet the unique demands of these markets and help our customers achieve their sustainability goals.

Our latest battery technologies
(LFP):

As one of the first European battery cell suppliers, Morrow Batteries will introduce its Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) BEV2 cells in 2025.
This advanced technology offers a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable solution with excellent safety features, a long life cycle, and high thermal stability.
Designed for stationary energy storage applications, our prismatic LFP BEV2 cells leverage a partially non-European supply chain while maintaining a low carbon footprint and full EU compliance.

At Morrow Batteries, our R&D team is dedicated to continuously developing and optimising our LFP battery cells to meet the evolving needs of the market.
Looking ahead, we are focused on enhancing our LFP cells to meet the demands of the BESS utility market. In the mid-term, our goals include:
- Increased cycle life for extended performance.
- Reduced BOM (Bill of Materials) costs for greater affordability.
- European supply chain integration to ensure sustainability and regional resilience.
Our team of experts remains committed to delivering innovative battery solutions tailored to the specific needs of our customers.

Morrow is on a mission to revolutionise the battery industry by bringing the next-generation batteries based on the high-voltage LNMO cathode material to the market.
Morrow is on a mission to revolutionise the battery industry by bringing the next-generation batteries based on the high-voltage LNMO cathode material to the market.
With LNMO, a never-before-commercialised cathode material, we are able to completely eliminate the need for cobalt and reduce the required nickel content by up to 60% compared to state-of-the-art NMC. This makes LNMO the obvious choice for the sustainable batteries of tomorrow.
When paired with the new XNO anode material, our LNMO-Xbatteries offer ultralong cycle life, great safety, and excellent fast-chargecapabilities. With almost twice the energy density compared to batteries withsimilar safety and lifetime performance currently available, our batteries areideal for heavy use applications such as battery energy storage systems (BESS),and in the trucking, railway, and marine sectors.

Researchers at Morrow are at the same time hard at work to pair the exciting LNMO cathode material with graphite to make high-voltage batteries suitable for the automotive industry. Comparable performance to state-of-the-art NMC, but at a much lower cost.

By eliminating the need for cobalt and reducing the need for nickel while producing at our 100% renewable based gigafactory in Arendal, the LNMO-C technology will be the most sustainable high-end batteries for the automotive industry to date.
